Day 2 of the L3 Course and I started with a review of the video footage
from yesterday. Some good teaching points on tacking, flare gybes and
stance along with a few laughs. Today was a better direction with cross
shore winds from the left but not really planing weather for L3. I got
planing a few times on my big kit but decided that it was not enough with
the centre kit.
Demoed Flare Gybes and Fast Tacks for everybody to concentrate on before
lunch and it was good to see that everybody was making progress. The mood
was much more buoyant but that was probably to do with the sunshine.
As the wind dropped in the afternoon I tooke out my 5.4 on a Motion and
started a game of follow-my-leader to sharpen those tacks and gybes. I
also piqued their interest by throwing in a few heli-tacks and rig 360's,
this led onto some freestyle ready for the next day.
All in all a good day but could have done with more wind.
